Meestery
Ibumie was Indomie…
before it’s renamed Ibumie Always Mi Goreng
That time, we were all bewildered… what’s wrong with the name Indomie… racist issue?
Then, TV advertisement came: Indomie is Back!
Huh??? So Ibumie naming back to Indomie???
With the confusions not settled… Taiwan news said Indomie is not safe for consumption… alamak!
So, my mom bought a pack of Indomie for comparison…
apparently, Ibumie is Made in Malaysia
But the factory name and address is not published…
just simply Product of Malaysia.
On the other hand, Indomie is as its name suggest, an Indonesian manufactured mee!
So, now you know the difference…
Do they taste the same?
I have not tried the Indomie yet…
although I heard it was not as nice as the Ibumie!

Islamic Corporate Financing & Islamic Legal Document
At RM420 per head (early bird member price)… this seminar had to be a bit more “extravagant” and I guess that is why we were “pampered” with “more stationeries”…
Usually, we were only given ONE pencil and a few pieces of paper.
In the seminar we were give a pen, a pencil, a pair of scissors, a highlighter, a rule, eraser and even paper clips!
And look at the water bottle and the candy container… and the leather writing pad!!!
As for the seminar… I’ve learnt nothing new
but I did enjoy the food, especially the marble cheesecake and the mint tea
Venue: Shangri-La Bitch (sit Beach) Hotel… :p

Green Tea Latte?
The one I had in KK is nothing like the one I had at Ikano, Damansara…
Problem with the KK’s is that the ice was not blended properly and there were still ice stones!
The one I had at Ikano was smooth and slide down my throat when I slurp it in…
KK… always sub-standard!

Good Friend and Nice Food & Drink
One thing I must have if I get to Ikano is the Chicken with herbs from Ikea restaurant… and since I only go to KL once a year, I only get to take this dish once every year! So the heck with the calories…
I shared this wonderful meal with a dear friend, MN… a pal since MLJ days… what else could beat a good lunch with a good old friend… (M, I didn’t mean “old” as in you know what, okay)!
After the meal we wandered off into separate ways in Ikano… I went to the music shop… M went to Harvey Norman… wonder what a nice lady got to buy in a hardware shop… huh?
Then we met again at Popular bookshop where I was too busy getting stickers for the children choir… we then headed for Starbuck…
Enjoyed this really nice Green Tea Latte Frappucino with Marina… I didn’t take a picture of us together… was too shy to ask if we could have a picture of us taken… it would seem so childish to ask such a question to a Datin rank friend, hehehe!
But I truly enjoyed the time we spent together… we talked like old friends… the time and distant didn’t diminish any of the closeness of our friendship… it was a really enjoyable gathering… only if Laimee could join us… the three of us would sure make a scene! Hahaha!
Laimee… tulah, why you only come few days after I left KL?

Extravagant Lunch
MW treat me and mom lunch at Lintas (coz she got months of bonus!)
And this place is expensive!
Three person ate RM100 over!
Bintulu restaurant… I should have figure it out already…
Sarawakian business man…
but I don’t think I’d ever dine at this place again, not if I have to pay for it! lolz
This was my first taste of Korean cuisine… everyone’s been telling me how hot Korean food is… well, not this meal we had! :p
We were too afraid that it would be too hot to me (I really don’t appreciate spicy food) so we ended up being too careful in picking only very mild dish!

Dinner @ Tenom Station, City Mall
Mom dad are out for dinner… a wedding banquet…
So me and my brother had to eat out, as I happen to have flute lesson at City Mall, we decided to just have dinner there after my music lesson.
There’s this gloomy restaurant on the same row as the music school… Tenom Station.
I had Curry Laksa Meehoon set which came with complimentary lemonade… nice lemonade… and the curry laksa was not so bad (well to me that is, because it is not spicy at all)… the prawns were really fresh! I like that!

Living with Laimee
My pal who is now working in Singapore….
Oh… I miss those juice… SGD2.50 only okay (don’t be stupid and attempt to convert to RM)!
Every time I visit Singapore, I will be more depressed over the fact that Malaysians employees are being underpaid!
Our cost of living is as expensive as Singapore (at times Singapore is cheaper especially when it comes to imported goods) but our pay is just blatantly pathetic!
A factory worker in Singapore earns SGD2,000 a month
which is more than a lawyer in Sabah who earns RM4,000 a month (ie SGD1,600)!
Don’t tell me things in Singapore is expensive, it’s only expensive to RM earners!
As the cost of living in Malaysia and Singapore is about the same… imagine a lawyer who earns a monthly pay of SGD1,600 pay living in Singapore… although just for a short term of 5 days… I was BROKEN!
This is the long “breath-taking” route LM takes everyday to the nearest MRT station…
Singaporean OL can afford breakfast like this every morning because it’s only SGD3 thereabout (WARNING: DO NOT CONVERT TO RM).
Food court food is a bit more pricey but for a bowl of SGD5 beef noodle like above, the portion is big enough for two diet conscious girls to share.

Japanese Nightmare Food
There’s this Japanese restaurant in Palm Square… heard a few friends talked about it… but I’ve never eaten there until now.
Food looks nice but taste not up to my standard…. and a bit too pricey… we had about five plates of sushi and that costs us more than RM50 already…
This will be my first and last visit to this restaurant…

The Truth about Hunger
Most of the people think that empty stomach creates the feeling of hunger but this is not true. Hunger has nothing to do with an empty stomach.
For example, a person who has fever may have an empty stomach, but he does not feel hungry. Similarly when a child is born, he does not feel hungry for several days.
When the blood gets depleted of nutritive materials, a message is sent to our brain by our body through nerves. The deficiency of nutritive materials is caused in the blood by the consumption of energy in the routine work.
A sick man remains in a state of rest and consumes small amounts of energy. He, therefore, does not feel hungry for several days.
Whenever there is a deficiency of nutritive food substances in the blood, a message goes to the ‘hunger centre’ of the brain. This centre acts like a brake on the activities of the stomach and intestines.
When the blood has sufficient nutritive substances, the hunger centre stops the activities of the stomach and intestines.
On the contrary when there is a lack of nutrition, the intestines and stomach become active. That is why you can hear your stomach rumbling when you are hungry.
The above information is reproduced from here.

Calorie Conscious
How many calories does an average person need per day?
The average person needs no less than 1200 calories per day and no more than 1500.
How many calories do I need to burn to lose a pound of fat?
3500 calories is the rough estimate for the energy contained in one pound of fat. This means that to lose one pound per week, you must create a deficit of 3500 calories per week. Since a week as 7 days, that means a deficit of 3500 / 7 = 500 calories per day.
My Diet
My breakfast: Cafe 21 (60 cal)
My meals in between (as at when I feel hungry): Jacobs High Iron crackers (35 cal each)
My dinner: 2 scrambled eggs (170 cal)* + 2 slices Multi Bake white bread (170 cal) = 340 cal
So my daily calorie consumption = 600 cal (more or less)
*Hard boiled (80 cal); Fried egg (120 cal)
Why I prefer to diet instead of exercise?
Simply because exercise is too FUTILE to fight calories!
See for yourself below:
Calories Burned During Exercise **
(1 hr for 130 lbs person)
Jogging: 400 cal
Music playing, piano, organ, violin, trumpet: 148 cal
Walking (2.0 mph, slow pace): 150 cal
Bicycling, <10mph, leisure: 236 cal
Swimming laps, freestyle, light/moderate effort: 470 cal
Walking, upstairs: 470 cals
Jogging one hr only lose 400 cal!
I can’t stay on with an exercise that long!
And I can’t jog, can only walk a slow pace, and for that 1 hour of walking, I only lose 150 cal, I could easily lose the same by simply not eating one meal!

HK Recipe
Every time I bring mom dad to “jalan-jalan” one borneo, I would end up bringing them to this restaurant for lunch.
Simply because dad wants to eat rice,
mom likes noodles…
and I like burgers.
Here, dad can order his ginger beef rice
Mom can order her fish noodle…
and me and my Macau Burger… :p
One happy family!

With MW @ Coffee Bean
Err… the cakes were horrible, okay!
So much for Coffee Bean’s reputation!
I think I should complain about this CB outlet at Karamunsing to the franchise!
The cakes were obviously leftovers…
they were so hard and stiff that I think if I threw it to a dog or a monkey it can kill instantly!
The aircon also was not working properly so we can’t enjoy our coffee and chat there… sigh!
