Talk about stubbornness…
I’ve told the staff so many times that dateline is not deadline and there is only deadline to meet not dateline.
“But… all the partners in the firm is using dateline…”
“We changed it to deadline, the letter will be returned to us for amendment to dateline…”
Sigh… what’s the dictionary for then? If someone is wrong, you just follow blindly?

you have to look on a different direction...to some people "dead" is unlucky and should be avoided as far as possible.
